There’s a moment in bungee jumping that no photograph can truly capture.

It’s the few seconds before the jump, the point where your toes curl over the edge, your heart picks up its own rhythm, and the air feels unnaturally still. I have bungee jumped twice. The thrill of the fall is unmatched, yes, but the real transformation comes from the decision to step off the ledge. I remember the jump instructor telling me “Jump on 3 or whenever you are ready – whichever comes first.” I jumped on 1!
